E coloca racista nisso. Desanimei demais pra continuar lendo e acabei vendendo o livro.
Infelizmente é verdade, e dá um certo desânimo. Sou fã, mas fiquei estarrecido quando li "o horror em red hook", fiz as conexões e fui atrás. Porém, acompanhando a vida do autor, dá pra entender de onde vêm toda essa visão, que inclusive vai se atenuando quando ele se casa e, tempos depois se separa. E na volta pra sua cidade vê os imigrantes por lá em maior número, mas isso não o incomoda como antes.
é complicado separar a obra do autor e complicado também julgar o passado com os olhos de hoje... mas ainda assim acabei desistindo, embora saiba que é uma obra riquíssima
